July 30, 2007 — Extreme Broadband Engineering sadly announces the passing of Arthur Dyck, our Chief Mechanical Design Engineer and a treasured member of our staff, on July 30, 2007.

Arthur Dyck lived and worked in Abbottsford, British Columbia. His relationship with Extreme Broadband founder Jay Shapson started in 1986 when both were at a previous firm. It continued when Jay left to found Extreme in 2003 and Arthur followed him.

Arthur Dyck was a gifted inventor who held many patents. He was working on several patents for Extreme Broadband up until five days before he died. He focused on the mechanical aspects of the Extreme Broadband product line, advising the company on which materials to use in the manufacture of its amplifiers and splitters, as well as on the mechanical features of the products.

In addition to his prolific engineering talents, Arthur was a charming, generous and deeply religious man who touched many lives.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Margaret, and by his three sons and seven grandchildren. Arthur Dyck will be greatly missed.
