April 27, 2007 — Extreme Broadband Engineering LLC is pleased to announce that its Infinity Premise™ FIC-Port™ Amplifier Module, model IPA1001FIC, has been issued US patent number D533,385. This revolutionary direct-connect module, incorporating Extreme’s exclusive cable-less F-Port Interface connector (FIC) technology, is designed to eliminate the use of the jumper cable when using traditional splitters, thus saving installation time and labor cost while improving system reliability. An estimated 30 – 60% of in-home service calls are related to the drop caused by intermittent connections. By eliminating the jumper interface, fewer connections are necessary, thereby reducing in-home service calls and reducing the chances of common path distortion (CPD).

FIC-Port™ connects directly to existing splitters without a jumper cable.
Extreme Broadband's Infinity Premise™ System is a whole new line of broadband premise Amplifiers, Splitter Modules, VoIP modules and accessories with built-in advantages not available anywhere else. All Infinity Premise modules feature the new patented FIC™ port which allows a direct connection to the amplifier without the use of a jumper.

Extreme Broadband Engineering LLC designs and manufactures a wide range of innovative cable components, including amplifiers, splitters, couplers, and premise enclosures. The company’s products are designed to simplify installation, deliver improved broadband system reliability, and provide significantly greater flexibility to meet the needs of a fast-changing market. Extreme Broadband products are distributed world-wide by Times Fiber Communications, Inc.

Infinity Premise is a trademark of Extreme Broadband Engineering, LLC. The Infinity Premise Splitter Modules are patent protected under *US Patent number: 6969278. Other Infinity Premise amplifiers are patent pending.
