December 12, 2005 Extreme Broadband is pleased to introduce its new Infinity Premise Splitter Module with cable-less F-Port Interface connector (FIC) technology. This revolutionary patented direct-connect splitter module is designed to eliminate the use of jumper cables from the amplifier, thus saving installation time and labor cost while improving system reliability. An estimated 30 60% of in-home service calls are related to the drop caused by intermittent connections. By eliminating the jumper interface, fewer connections are necessary, thereby reducing in-home service calls and reducing the chances of common path distortion (CPD).
The patented* splitter module allows the broadband provider to stock only 1-output amplifiers and external modules. This lowers inventory cost versus stocking 1-, 2- and 4-ouput amplifiers. By simply changing the splitter module, the number of amplifier outputs can be increased from 1- to 2-, 3-, or 4 outputs.Extreme Broadband's new Infinity Premise System is a whole new line of broadband premise Amplifiers and External Splitter Modules with built-in advantages not currently available anywhere else. All Infinity Premise modules feature the new FIC port which allows a direct connection to amplifiers without the use of a jumper. Infinity Premise is a trademark of Extreme Broadband Engineering, LLC. The unique Splitter Modules are patent protected under *US Patent number: 6969278. |
